Hi folks, my name is Jersey and I am what some would call a former street cat.
My memory is a bit dim, but I do recall having a home at some time in the past, but my more recent life was as a neighbourhood stray. I was not neutered which meant I had a strong territorial drive to protect my turf, which inevitably led to a few skirmishes with foreign feline invaders. This is how I most likely contracted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).
While I do not like other cats, I am quite a lovely fellow - a mixture of affection, independence, playfulness and curiosity.
Sometimes people may be worried about my FIV status, but I would like you to know that cats with FIV, aka me, can live long happy lives with normal attentive vet care.
MEOW believes in giving every cat a second chance and I sure hope, that one day soon, you will take a chance on me.
